Let me say this right now: my wife is a stud.
She crawled around the attic like a pro while we pulled speaker and infrared control cables. Nasty job: you have to keep an eye out for myriad obstacles while avoiding a fall through the open ceiling joists (or a false step that might wipe out something like a lighting box), all while pulling cable and stapling it to beams and joists.
We got most of the cable pulled; still have a few bits to do but now we know what we're doing and it looks like we'll get it done this weekend.
Plus, the electrician told me today that they'll do the really nasty stuff--running in new telephone and cable TV connections from the garage. Sweet!
