Progress!

Just back from a few days out of town and the worker bees have been busy. Damned busy.

That's the kitchen, with the first cabinetry installed (that's the sink area). The sheetrock is all in. All the joints have been taped, and there's "mud" everywhere (the texturing is coming along quickly, and it is messy work).

The crews have also removed the tile from the entryway, and just because they had nothing else to do, they've pulled the carpet out of the hallway on "our" side of the house (before this is over, all of the flooring in the house except for what's in the two bathrooms will be replaced).

Next steps: cabinets going in, granite countertops being fabricated, painting. It's really starting to look like the place we planned.
