Is That the Finish Line?

We're trying not to get antsy.

But the last few days have turned the construction zone into something that looks a lot more like the house we envisioned.

Most of the kitchen cabinets are in. The walls are Sheetrocked and textured. Most of them have a primer coat of paint on them. Baseboards are going in. And we even have a finished attic access hatch in our bedroom closet (they had to move the hatch to accommodate a big beam).

In short, the heavy lifting is just about done and now it's the fine work. Flooring arrives soon. We're supposed to be choosing paint colors.

And all too soon, I'm going to have to drag all the junk out of my office so they can get in there to replace the carpet and paint the room. It'll be a pain. But it'll also mean we're closing in on the finish line.
